Liverpool have completed the signing of Tottenham starlet Kevin Stewart, Daily Mail reports.
Stewart was release on a free by Tottenham but has quickly moved on after penning a two-year deal with Liverpool to become the club’s third signing after Rickie Lambert and Adam Lallana.
The young defender can operate at both right back and left back, making him a very versatile player at Rodgers’ disposal.
Stewart went out on loan with Crewe Alexandra last year, making 14 appearances as well as scoring 1 goal.
It was however not enough to earn him a contract extension at White Hart Lane, but seems to have impressed Liverpool into swooping in for the 20-year-old.
Meanwhile Liverpool are also set to announce the signing of Emre Can, who will be joining from Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen.
Rodgers has been extremely busy in the current transfer window, strengthening the squad ahead of a exciting season which sees Liverpool participate in the UEFA Champions League for the first time in five years.
