Former Liverpool star Robbie Fowler believes Luis Suarez will go down as an Anfield legend in years to come, as reported by the Daily Telegraph.

Suarez has been in sensational form again this season and is the top scorer in the Premier League despite missing the first number of games through suspension.

Arsenal tried to sign the Uruguayan in the summer and it looked as if the talented forward would be off, however boss Brendan Rodgers managed to keep his man.

Fowler feels that Suarez has been one of the best in the world this season and if the Reds win the league, he will become a club legend.

“Luis is up with Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi and has been all season,’’ said Fowler.

“When you look at Luis and Daniel Sturridge on the pitch, they have so much confidence. They look guaranteed to score.’’

“Comparing Luis to me makes me feel good as he’s an extraordinary player. If he’s matching me and beating me, I’m happy with that. Luis is a brilliant player, one of those players that has me sitting on the edge of my seat.

“If Luis wins the Premier League this year then he’ll be rightly classed as a Liverpool legend in my eyes.’’
