The Mirror.

The Dutch playmaker has been out of the favour at the San Siro, due to a contract dispute as the Italian giants are looking to cut his wages, and hasn’t featured in the first team since September.

While it appeared the Turkish giants appeared to have stolen the march in looking to secure a deal for the Dutchman’s services, it appears that the player remains keen on a move to the Premier League and is holding out to see if a deal can be struck in England.

There is no question that Sneijder will be welcomed by most Premier League sides; however his wages are proving a potential stumbling block and unless the player is willing to make a compromise his demands, then his hopes of moving to England will have to be shelved for the time being.

Reports suggest that Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is hoping that he could tempt him with a move to Anfield, if a financial package can be struck.
