Reports in Italy suggest Liverpool could complete a move for Lazio midfielder Antonio Candreva in the summer, according to talkSPORT.
The playmaker has seen his stock rise significantly in Italy this season, after a series of impressive displays.
The 26-year-old has discovered the most consistent form of his career, after previously flattering to deceive during a number of loan deals around Italy.
But since completing his permanent move to the Stadio Olimpico in the summer for around £1.5million, Candreva has established himself as a key player for the Serie A giants.
He has become a regular in the Italy squad, and looks likely to be a key member of their World Cup squad this summer.
Lazio are desperate to keep hold of Candreva, after he played a crucial role in their Coppa Italia success last season.
But now it seems they will have to hold off interest from Liverpool, whose manager Brendan Rodgers is targeting quality players to give his squad greater depth as they attempt to break into the top four.
Candreva has managed 19 Serie A appearances this season, scoring four goals.
