With the club having to take part in both domestic and European football, Brendan Rodgers will need to keep his team fresh by adding some reinforcements through his formation.
Even with the likes of Jon Flanagan and Andre Wisdom on the team sheet, Rodgers is still keen on bringing in another defensive player.
The 30-year-old Uruguayan international has hinted at a potential exit as he is prepared to leave the Portuguese side in search for a new challenge.
When asked by Record if he will be at Benfica next season, he is quoted saying: “I do not know if I will continue.”
