Liverpool set to miss out as Ivorian prefers Serie A switch
Liverpool and West Ham’s hopes of securing a summer deal for Wilfried Bony appear to be dashed after the player’s agent revealed he would prefer a move to Italy.
The Ivory Coast striker is one of the best young strikers in Europe, having bagged 36 League goals for Vitesse Arnhem in the past two seasons.
As well as being heavily linked with a move to the Premier League Bony has been linked to the highly lucrative Russian league; however Francis Kacou revealed that despite several offers that have come in from both England and Russia, it is Serie A that most interests his client:
“I have received several offers from clubs in England and Russia, but the boy is more excited about playing in Italy,” Kacou told Voetbal International.
Inter Milan is one of those clubs interested in the 24-year old, who has 18 months left on his current deal in Holland.
Bony, who is under contract until June 2015, is the subject of firm interest from 2010 European champions Inter Milan.
