Luis Suarez has given the biggest indication he’ll remain at Liverpool by telling team-mates he wants to win the Premier League for the supporters, Daily Mail reports.
The Uruguayan is planning to stay at Anfield and lead the charges for a title challenge next season, despite recent reports suggesting that Real Madrid were preparing a world record £100million offer for Suarez.
But the PFA Player of the Year signed a long-term deal back in December and is keeping his word when he promised to stay at the club “for a very long time.”
Sources in Spain have suggested that there will be no bid for Suarez if French striker Karim Benzema commits to the Madrid club.
Benzema is believed to be a target for Premier League rivals Arsenal, but the European champions believe an agreement will be reached before the World Cup.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers, who was named LMA Manage of the year, has also signed a new contract that will keep him at the club till 2018.
Liverpool will also be strengthening their squad to re-challenge for the title as well as compete in the UEFA Champions League, and have identified several transfer targets over recent weeks.
Southampton’s Adam Lallana is already set on a Liverpool move, but the Saints want £30million for the silky midfielder.
