Liverpool target Nabil Fekir has revealed his desire to play for Manchester United once he leaves current club Lyon, according to reports from the Daily Star.

The 22-year-old is also being eyed by Premier League rivals Arsenal after impressing in the Ligue 1 and was named Young Player of the Year last season.

However, in an interview with Europe 1, the attacking midfielder named United as the club of his dreams and hopes to earn himself a move to Old Trafford in the future.

“Why can’t I one day play for Manchester [United]? This is the club of my dreams," he said.

“I am not there yet. I must have a good season with Lyon and then we’ll see.”

The France international also previously revealed his desire to feature outside the French top flight, but is likely to remain with Lyon for another year after helping them clinch a Champions League spot.

"This season I have to back up what I have done.

"I have to do everything I can to continue progressing.

"There is also the Champions League. I want to give back to OL what the club has given me.

"To be frank, I would prefer an experience overseas after OL."

His latest remarks will be seen as a blow to Gunners boss Arsene Wenger as well as Reds manager Brendan Rodgers who were both said to be monitoring his situation closely.

Fekir featured 39 times in all competitions for his side last term, scoring a total of 15 goals while providing a further 13 assists.
