Liverpool have put Sevilla left-back Alberto Moreno on top of their transfer wish list, according to the Daily Mail.
The Spanish international is one of La-Liga’s rising stars – currently tracked by Chelsea and Real Madrid – and would command a fee of around £20million.
The Premier League runners up are looking for a left back this summer, and Alberto Moreno has become their number one target.
Liverpool are currently in negotiations with Southampton over the transfer of English midfielder Adam Lallana, after offering the Saints £20million earlier this week.
But Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is also planning to strengthen his back-line in order to challenge in Europe.
Moreno is coming off a great season in the Spanish top flight, with his performances key in Sevilla’s Europa League triumph – earning him a call up to Spain’s 30-man provisional squad.
However Rodgers has alternatives if they fail to land Moreno during the next transfer window.
The Reds attempted to sign Granada’s Guilherme Siqueira last summer, and is once again on Liverpool’s radar.
Chelsea’s Ryan Bertrand is also an option, with Rodgers having coached the Englishman when he was in the youth ranks at Stamford Bridge.
A deal for Bertrand however looks unlikely, as Chelsea will be reluctant to give their player to a title rival.
