Manchester United and Liverpool have been boosted by leaked information in regards to Borussia Dortmund’s release clause for Marco Reus, Express reports.
The German winger has been heavily linked with the Premier League duo, with Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich also closely monitoring the situation.
According to reports from German publication Bild, word has spread that Reus’ buy-out clause originally expected to be in the region of £30million is actually much lower at just £20million.
Reus has yet to agree an extension on his current contract with Borussia Dortmund, which has left the door open for a possible swoop from Europe’s top sides.
Despite having already spent almost £100million on new players, Liverpool are still in the market for a marquee signing this summer after the £75million sale of star striker Luis Suarez to Barcelona.
Marco Reus fits the bill perfectly, able to play anywhere in Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers’ attacking trident.
The 25-year-old scored a career high 23 goals for Dortmund last season, but unfortunately missed the World Cup after suffering an ankle injury a few days prior to the tournament.
