Marc Overmars is who is currently Director of football for Ajax confirms that Eriksen is looking elsewhere for offers

"Christian has informed us that he doesn't want to sign a new contract right now. I think he and his agent want to see what opportunities present themselves this summer."

Eriksen is currently wanted by many clubs over Europe, with Man United and Liverpool from the Premier League, but Overmars is keen to see how far the youngster develops at Ajax.

"We want him to stay here for at least two more years, but the day he leaves us, he will be ready to play for the very best." Daily Express

Eriksen has scored 9 and assisted 13 goals already this season and is in great form. Although Ajax will prefer to keep Christian Eriksen at the Dutch club they won't be willing to let him leave on a free transfer so they may have to sell him in the summer to the higest bidder.
