Manchester United have been hit with another transfer blow as Paris Saint-Germain star Marco Verratti is set to reject any interest from the Red Devils, Express reports.
The Italian midfielder has cooled down any speculation that he will leave the French champions this summer.
Verratti was in good form last season, assisting eight goals in PSG’s title winning run.
Man United have closely monitored his situation at the French capital and it is understood that they will make an official bid once the transfer window reopens.
However the 21-year-old seems uninterested in any offer from the Red Devils, insisting that he is very happy at the Parc des Princes.
“My future? I’m fine in Paris and when I’m happy in a place I do everything to stay there.”
Verratti is the second player to publically state his intentions of remaining at the club, after agent Marcelo Simonian said his client Argentinian midfielder Javier Pastore – another Chelsea target – will not leave this summer.
“Pastore will remain 100% at Paris Saint-Germain,” he said.
The Italian international will represent the ‘Azzurri’ during the Brazil World Cup, where he has donned to nickname as the ‘New Pirlo’.
