Crystal Palace have been handed a boost in their hopes of winning the FA Cup final this season, with Manchester United sweating over the fitness of both Anthony Martial and Matteo Darmian, according to The Daily Mail. The Red Devils and Eagles will go toe-to-toe at Wembley on May 21, with Louis van Gaal’s men favourites to win the domestic silverware. However, a 1-0 win over Norwich yesterday was not without its casualties, with United set to be without the key duo for the next while.Martial has been a driving force in the club’s hopes of finishing in the top four this season and arguably the team’s best outfield player. The France international sat out the win at Carrow Road however after picking up a muscular ailment in their warm up before facing the Canaries.Darmian started the clash but was withdrawn after being kicked by Ivo Pinto, with the Italian’s ankle put in a brace as a result of the injury.Van Gaal has confirmed that the pair will be assessed further today and face a race against time to be fit to face Palace at Wembley.“Martial felt something and I am a manager who doesn't want to takes risks so I told him he couldn't play and he had to sit on the bench with us,” the Dutchman said.“He had a tight muscle and we have to wait and see for the reaction. We have to see if it is still tight.“The injury of Darmian is a kick on the ankle. He is now walking in a brace but the next day it can be OK. A kick is a kick.”
