Manchester United winger Wilfried Zaha has revealed his relief at finally sealing a loan move to Cardiff City for the remainder of the season, as reported by Cardiff’s official site.

Zaha has failed to break into David Moyes’ squad this season at Old Trafford and has played mainly in their under-21 side since returning to the club from a loan spell at former club Crystal Palace.

Palace were one interested in taking their academy product back this month but United decided Cardiff was the best option for the England under-21 star who has been tipped to be an outsider for Roy Hodgson’s World Cup squad she he impress in South Wales.

Rumours have been circling as to why Zaha wasn’t in Moyes’ plans at Old Trafford but the winger is now just concentrating on playing regular football after six months in the wilderness.

“I haven’t seen much of Cardiff City this season, but what I have seen showed me that we play some good football.”

“It’s great to be here. I hope I’ll be able to contribute something to the team.”
