Manchester United target James Rodriguez has expressed being open to a big move, with Real Madrid his preferred destination, Daily Star reports.
The Colombian attacking midfielder has been one of the stand-out performers in this year’s World Cup, with his opening goal against Uruguay a particular highlight.
Rodriguez five goals have put him in the running for the Golden Boot as well as guiding his country into the quarter-finals.
The 22-year old was linked with a move to Man United only a year ago but chose to join compatriot Radamel Falcao at Monaco.
Now however the former Porto star has hinted that he may consider another move after the World Cup, with the Spanish capital his preferred destination.
“I would love to play in Spain,” he said.
“It would be a dream to play there, it is the best league in the world.
“I prefer Real Madrid to Barcelona.”
Tottenham Hotspur were also interested in the Colombian as a replacement for Gareth Bale last summer, but were unable to match Porto’s asking price.
