Manchester United could finally sign Arturo Vidal after speculation that Juventus will be open to accepting a reduced £14.4million offer, according to reports from the Metro.

The 27-year-old was one of the top targets for Louis van Gaal during the summer, with the player heavily linked with an expensive switch to Old Trafford.

Despite that, Vidal decided to remain in the Serie A, but could now leave as the Italian giants are planning to reinforce their midfield with his sale.

It is believed that the Chile international is yet to fully recover from his earlier knee injury and the club may not be willing to risk the problem returning.

With this in mind, he could be sold in a cut-price deal which may reignite interest from the Red Devils, who are still said to be keen on his services in the middle of the park.

If Juventus are indeed willing to let him leave, Manchester City could also join the race for his signature having declared interest in signing him earlier in the season.
