Manchester City revealed that they are open to bids for Matija Nastasic, as Serie A giants Juventus and Roma are set to go head to head over a potential deal, Daily Mail reports.
The 21-year-old only made the switch from Fiorentina to the Etihad two years ago, but is now on the verge of a return to Serie A with the Italian duo believed to be chasing him.
With less than two weeks left until the close of the transfer window, any negotiations have to be done as soon as possible while City should be pushing for a deal in order to free up space to comply with their foreign player quota.
Juventus were currently favourites to land the Serbian centre-back, but with Roma’s Mehdi Benatia linked with a move to Manchester United, they see Nastasic as an adequate replacement.
Arsenal are also said to be monitoring his situation, but a move looks unlikely after the Gunners revealed that they are close to confirming a move for Greek central defender Kostas Manolas.
