Manchester City striker Stevan Jovetic has vowed to stick with the club and earn his chance in the first team, as reported by Sky Sports.

The former Fiorentina man has failed to make much of an impact at the Etihad with a combination of injuries and the form of his competition in the City squad.

Main man Sergio Aguero is out for two weeks though, leaving a spot open in the side and Jovetic is desperate to be the man to take it.

Despite his lack of football, the Montenegrin international claims he is happy in Manchester and he will fight to get into Manuel Pellegrini’s side before the end of the season.

“The manager believes in me and has told me to be patient,” Jovetic told the Manchester Evening News.

“It has been frustrating of course because what I love most is football and when I cannot play it is very difficult. I hope it’s going to finish.”

“I am really happy because this is one of the best teams in the world.”
