Manchester City playmaker David Silva has laughed off talk of him leaving the Etihad this summer, as reported by Sky Sports.

Real Madrid and Barcelona have both been linked with a move for the Spanish star and winning the Champions League is clearly a main aim for Silva.

City have struggled in Europe since becoming one of the World’s big spenders with a last 16 spot their best finish.

Silva is desperate for trophies but is not thinking of jumping ship when the going gets tough and wants to win major honours with City.

“I’m very used to the rumours every summer,” said Silva.

“They have been around a long time.

“It’s the way football works, just rumours. I’m very happy at Manchester City and I think that shows on the pitch as well.

“The first thing is that I want to win the Premier League this year. And then I want to win the Champions League. We want to get bigger every year, regardless of what is happening at Manchester United.”
