Liverpool and Manchester United have both submitted an official bid for Barcelona’s Alexis Sanchez, Express reports.
The Reds and United look to have gotten a head start on Tottenham Hotspur, who are also looking to sign the Chilean winger.
Sanchez was often left out of the Catalan’s first XI under previous coach Gerardo Martino, which has alerted the Premier League’s top sides as well as Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus.
PSG are the only other club to make an official bid for the 25-year-old star, but new coach Luis Enrique is adamant the former Udinese man is of his plans next season.
The statement has been backed back Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu, who said: “He’s not for sale.
“He has a contract with us and is an important part of the squad.
“Sanchez has had a great season and, of course, will be a part of Barcelona next season as well.”
But reports from Spain seem to imply that Barcelona are only waiting for a good World Cup performance from Sanchez to drive up his transfer value.
