Manchester United are close to completing the bargain signing of Dinamo Zagreb’s Robert Muric, according to the Daily Mail.
The 17-year-old forward is valued at around £6million, but it looks as though David Moyes is going to end up securing his services for as little as £300,000.
Muric is involved in a dispute as to whether he has already signed professional forms, meaning United would only have to pay a small compensation fee to complete the deal.
Chelsea and Barcelona have also been monitoring the Croatia Under 17 World Cup star, but United have moved into pole position after opening talks over a deal that would see the youngster move to Old Trafford.
Muric’s father, Branko, has admitted his son is likely to move in January after growing frustrated with the attitude of the Dinamo management.
The deal would be seen as a major boost for Moyes, who is under pressure to bring in new players this month after missing out on a host of summer targets.
Moyes had been linked with a number of high profile players, including Everton duo Leighton Baines and Ross Barkley, as well as Atletico Madrid playmaker Koke.
