Manchester United have reignited their interest in Jordy Clasie and are looking as the favourites to land the Dutch midfielder after the World Cup, Daily Star reports.
Interest in the Feyenoord man is high with Swansea, Liverpool, as well as Arsenal all tracking the player.
Clasie’s agent, Wessel Weezenberg, stated that no formal offers have been made regarding a potential move for his client.
Weezenberg said: “There has been no contact recently with the Viola [Fiorentina] or with the Red Devils [Manchester United] and neither with other clubs.
“Jordy’s future will probably be decided after the World Cup.”
With Louis van Gaal looking very likely to sign the 22-year-old, the Red Devils boss highlighted the fact that he sees him as a player who can solve the problems in the United midfield.
The creativity from Clasie has been seen following his impressive display which saw him provide an assist for Robin van Persie to score in the 1-1 friendly draw against Ecuador.
