Manchester United have reignited their interest in Jordy Clasie and are looking as the favourites to land the Dutch midfielder after the World Cup, Daily Star reports.

Interest in the Feyenoord man is high with Swansea, Liverpool, as well as Arsenal all tracking the player.

Clasie’s agent, Wessel Weezenberg, stated that no formal offers have been made regarding a potential move for his client.

Weezenberg said: “There has been no contact recently with the Viola [Fiorentina] or with the Red Devils [Manchester United] and neither with other clubs.

“Jordy’s future will probably be decided after the World Cup.”

With Louis van Gaal  looking very likely to sign the 22-year-old, the Red Devils boss highlighted the fact that he sees him as a player who can solve the problems in the United midfield.

The creativity from Clasie has been seen following his impressive display which saw him provide an assist for Robin van Persie to score in the 1-1 friendly draw against Ecuador.

He would be a really good investment. We need young players blended with experience. Is it me or does anybody else think that Ed Woodward must have bad breath. We are supposed to be talking to so many players and yet that is what we always do talk and sign nobody, sorry except Fellani, how could I forget him. We need 2 good centre backs, Garay would be one and he is available for around £15m, Hummels would be my other choice with Luke Shaw at left back. A good midfield player in the Roy Keane mold such as Vidal and a good pacy creative wide player. I would also get rid of the likes of Young, CLEVERLEY, Felani, Anderson, Fletcher, Nani and possibly Smalling and give the younger players in the U21′s a chance, can’t do any worse than the shower above!!!!

Give Fellaini a chance . he can fill the role y. toure is doing in manc. unfortunately hummels won’t leave dortmund,. think practical,….esp. since we dont have european competition next season. we might get strootman , clasie, virj, konoplyankha, muller etc.
