Manchester United manager has asked for support from the club’s season ticket holders as the pressure on him increases, according to the Metro.
United have had a very underwhelming season by their high standards, and the under-fire Scot has written a passionate plea to the fans, stating that he couldn’t have foreseen the current outcome of the club.
In an open letter titled ‘A word from the boss’, Moyes said: “While I knew that this job would be a challenge when I took it on, the difficult season we have experienced was not something that I envisaged, which I am sure is the case as well for you supporters – and my players, staff and I are desperate to compensate for that.”
Moyes also indicated that it was just fans from outside of the club that were turning against his leadership, and thanked all of the Manchester United fans for sticking together.
The former Everton man pointed to the fact that it was the fans outside of the club turning against his leadership and thanked the every Red Devils fan for sticking together.
“Everywhere we turn, people outside the club have a lot to say about Manchester United, but we have all stuck together through some tough times this season and I firmly believe that, in the long run, we will all come out the other end, stronger for the experiences.”
