Manchester United are ready to increase their offer for Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado to £32million, Metro reports.
The Red Devils have been heavily linked with a move for the Colombian star, with Louis van Gaal seeing him as the perfect player to play wing-back in his 3-5-2 setup.
However Cuadrado has reportedly expressed his desire to join Barcelona, who are also keen to sign the 26-year-old.
But Van Gaal is not giving up in the chase, with Sky Italia journalist Gianluca di Marzio revealing that United are set to increase their initial offer of £29million to £32million in the attempt to fend off Barcelona’s interest.
Fiorentina, though, are holding out at a fee of £40million for Cuadrado, who had an impressive World Cup with Colombia after an already brilliant season with the Viola last term.
Yet United are confident that their latest offer, plus incentives, will be enough to prize him away from the Serie A side with Barcelona still waiting on the departure of Dani Alves before making a concrete bid for Cuadrado.
