Manchester United look to make a second attempt to sign Ander Herrera from Atletico Bilbao after David Moyes already tried to bring him to England last season, Daily Mail reports.
It has not been a good week in regards to transfers for United, as they were recently asked to increase their offer for Luke Shaw and also seeing their initial bid for Thomas Vermaelen being rejected.
The 24-year-old midfielder was already a target for the Red Devils earlier, but then manager Moyes’ failure to meet his buyout clause halted a deal from going through.
However, Louis van Gaal is believed to have already placed a offer and could see a potential move confirmed in the next few days.
Currently valued at £31 million, Herrera only has a year left on his remaining contract and if a switch fails to happen soon, the Spanish side could risk losing him for free.
