Manchester United have secured a £25million deal for Southampton left back Luke Shaw, with only personal terms left to be negotiated, Mirror reports.

It seems that the English defender is set to join the Red Devils and only has the formality of signing a contract before the deal is complete.

Shaw has recently been picked for the England squad travelling to this year’s World Cup, and will likely be a Man United player before the tournament kicks off in June.

The 18-year-old looks set to triple his current wages to £75,000-a-week in a five year deal playing at Old Trafford.

He made his debut in November of 2012 and has nailed down the Saints’ left-back role, earning him a call-up to England’s senior side.

Only last year Shaw signed a five year deal for the Saints, but an extravagantly high offer from Man United seems to have persuaded the Saints to part-ways with their star player.

Adam Lallana is also set to leave St Mary’s this summer, with Liverpool favourites to sign the Southampton captain.
