Dutch coach Louis van Gaal is set to hold talks with Manchester United over replacing David Moyes, Mirror reports.
There have been recent reports over the past night that Moyes will be sacked in the next few days, less than a year in charge with the board finally losing their patience after a series of poor results.
And it is expected that former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager Louis van Gaal will meet the club’s hierarchy this week to sign a deal as Moyes’ replacement.
Van Gaal has also held talk with Tottenham Hotspur, but it is known that he is waiting on the United job, therefore not committing to the Lilywhites.
He will be backed by a £200million transfer kitty from the Glazer family, with the Red Devil owners not trusting David Moyes to spend this kind of money during the summer transfer window.
The Scot is set to be sacked before Saturday’s Premier League home clash against Norwich City, with Ryan Giggs to step in as the ‘caretaker manager’ until the rest of the season.
Other reports suggest that Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp is another target to replace Moyes at the United helm, but has yet to be contacted.
Manchester United’s failures this season is bare for all to see, and David Moyes has been the fan’s number one scapegoat.
The Red Devils are guaranteed their lowest ever Premier League points total, suffering a record 11 defeats as well as failing in all cup competitions.
