Manchester United’s Nick Powell might be on his way out of Old Trafford as he is being monitored by newly promoted side Leicester City, Express reports.
The 20-year-old youngster has failed to secure a concrete role at the club ever since his 6.5-million move from Crewe Alexandra back in 2012 and having spend his past few seasons away on loan, could yet secure a permanent move elsewhere.
He recently had a spell with Wigan where his nine goals and three assist aided manager Uwe Rosler in reaching an all important promotion play-off slot.
The current England Under-21 midfielder has attracted interest from Leicester boss Nigel Pearson and could be brought to the Championship winning side for a reduced fee than that of his move to The Red Devils.
Pearson, having secured Premier League football for next season, will have to rebuild his squad in order to reach their aim of remaining in the top flight and having already signed Danny Drinkwater, Matty James, and Ritchie De Laet from United, Powell could very well follow suit.
Drinkwater had a great season with the Foxes this term, winning the club’s player and goal of the year while James also won the young player’s equivalent of the two awards.
