Manchester United goalkeeper is keen to get going with new boss Louis van Gaal after the World Cup, as reported by Marca.
De Gea watched on as Spain faced van Gaal’s Holland yesterday and ready to prove to his new club boss just what he is all about.
The 23-year-old was one of few Red Devils to impress last season as David Moyes led the reigning champions to a seventh place finish – resulting in no European football next season.
Van Gaal has a reputation of being a hard man to please and his Dutch stars may be finding that out this summer, although De Gea is just keen to get him on side.
“He’s a coach who’s won the lot,” De Gea said.
“He’s an excellent manager and I think he’s going to bring great things to Manchester United; important, innovative things that will do us the world of good.
“He’s going to help us a lot because he’s going to bring a different playing style with him.”
