Manchester United are looking to sign Juan Cuadrado in an exchange deal from Fiorentina this summer, Calciomercato reports.
The Red Devils will attempt to use Brazilian midfielder Anderson – currently on loan with Fiorentina – to sweeten the deal for the 25-year-old winger.
Arsenal and Barcelona have been linked with the former Udinese man but now manager David Moyes seems to have upped the interest in his quest to rebuild the team in the summer.
Manchester United are currently 7th place in the table, 18 points adrift from the top of the table.
With the Champions League an unlikely scenario next season, Moyes could find it difficult to lure in the top players to join the Red Devils.
However with the Viola also 10 points off the Italian Champions League spot, Cuadrado could consider the Premier League as a step up in his career.
The Red Devils have already attempted to sign the highly rated Columbian in January but was put off by the Tuscan side’s asking price.
Nevertheless the permanent sale of Anderson would reduce the fee and make a summer move highly possible.
