David Moyes has made two changes to his United side as he prepares to face his former club for the first time since arriving at Old Trafford.

Jonny Evans is replaced by Rafael in defence, while Ryan Giggs and Maurauane Fellaini come in for Phil Jones and Tom Cleverley.

Meanwhile, Roberto Martinez makes just one change to the side that thrashed Stoke City at the weekend, with Gerard Deulofeu making way for Kevin Mirallas.

Manchester United: De Gea; Rafael, Vidic, Smalling, Evra; Valencia, Fellaini, Giggs, Kagawa, Welbeck; Rooney.

Everton: Howard, Oviedo, Distin, Jagielka (c), Coleman, McCarthy, Barry, Pienaar, Barkley, Mirallas, Lukaku.
