Arsenal newbie Mesut Ozil has claimed that he is enjoying the pressure of the Gunners flying high at the top of the Premier League this season, as reported by the Daily Mirror.

Ozil has been in stunning form since arriving at the Emirates from Real Madrid on transfer deadline day for in excess of £40million and is a big part of Arsenal’s early success this season.

The North London club are top of the Premier League and looking good for Champions League qualification, putting pressure on the team to continue their form and deliver their first trophy since 2005.

Ozil is enjoying his new lease of life at the Emirates and will not be affected by the pressure as he has been there and done it all before.

“I’ve played for Real Madrid, where the pressure is so huge because you have to go and really win absolutely every game,” he said.

“So after having played there for three years, pressure doesn’t scare me. That’s why I don’t really feel the pressure. The second thing is that what I do on a daily basis is what I love.

“I love playing football so I go out to play football and I don’t really feel pressure. Of course, there are some days when things don’t work out as well as on other days but that doesn’t have anything to do with pressure.”
