Moyes would be delighted to see Lescott return to Goodison

Everton boss David Moyes has declared his desire to bring former Toffee Joleon Lescott back to Goodison Park in January.

Lescott is currently a permanent substitute at Manchester City and despite winning the Premier League last season; he can’t seem to get back in the City side.

“If Joleon wanted to come back – if I thought we needed him – I’d be delighted to have him back,” Moyes told Sky Sports.

“If he was available he’d be someone I’d maybe show an interest in.

“When Joleon left, Everton were in a different place to where we are now. Everton look more likely now to be at the top end than they do now.”
