Newcastle United are in talks with Pierre-Michel Lasogga over a potential switch to England after the club are expecting to lose a majority of their strikers, Mirror reports.
The German U21 striker, who currently plays for Hertha Berlin, is believed to be valued at £7 million, a price that Alan Pardew is willing to spend.
Neither Lasogga nor any of the included teams have confirmed that a deal has been agreed upon, but it is believed that the Magpies have already held talks and that an offer has been tabled.
Pardew will need to swiftly reinforce his attacking options since his side could part ways with the likes of Loic Remy, Shola Ameobi, and Luuk De Jong, all of whom looks set to leave St James’ Park.
The 22-year-old got on the score-sheet 13 times out of 20 matches while playing on loan at Hamburg the previous season, as they have already shown hints to make the move permanent.
With only one year left on his current deal in Germany, the player could possibility reject any new contract negotiations after declaring his intentions to begin his career elsewhere.
