Newcastle United host Aston Villa at St. James’ Park hoping to improve on their recent run of disappointing results.

Alan Pardew’s men will be demanding a big response from their 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Tottenham last time out, and will be looking for loanee striker Luke de Jong get his first Magpies goal since joining in January.

Paul Lambert’s Villa are close to being sucked in to the relegation battle in the Premier League, despite currently sitting four points above the drop zone. A win on Tynside would be a huge boost to their survival chances today.
