Paris Saint-Germain are the favourites to sign Yaya Toure if he convinces Manchester City to allow him to leave, Daily Mail reports.
The Citizens are refusing to sell their star player to Premier League rivals Chelsea or Manchester United, opening the door for a possible transfer to Ligue-1 champions PSG.
Toure’s future is in major doubt after his agent, Dimitry Seluk, publically claimed his client is unhappy with the club treating him as a ‘nobody’.
He mentioned that the Ivorian was dejected during an official title celebration event with club owner Sheik Mansour bin Zayed, in which nobody wished him a Happy 31st Birthday.
And the former Barcelona man went onto to social media platform Twitter to back his agent’s claims.
It is understood that Manchester United and Chelsea are the only two English clubs with the financial power to sign Toure, but City will be blocking any transfer attempt.
If the 31-year-old pushes the matter further, the Sky Blues may perhaps sell given the midfielder’s age.
PSG boss Laurent Blanc sees Toure as the answer into putting his club amongst Europe’s finest, with the Champions League a priority for the French side.
Toure himself, however, has previously stated his desire to finish his career at Barcelona.
“Yes, I have talked before about ending my career at Barcelona – but we don’t know because football is moving fast and you never know about tomorrow,” he said.
