Manchester United may need to start a bidding war with Paris Saint-Germain after the French side are believed to be preparing an offer to land Angel Di Maria from Real Madrid, Daily Star reports.
The footballing world knows about the Argentine star’s desire to leave his current club and the Ligue 1 side are said to be ready to make a bid of around £47.5 for their target.
Di Maria remains quiet over his future and has put all his focus on his performance with the Argentina national team who will face Germany in the World Cup finals.
He said: “I’ve asked my agent not to tell me anything about the talks he’s having. I don’t know what’s going to happen with my career.
“I don’t want to know anything about my future right now. I’m focusing on my national team and not on what’s going on elsewhere.”
Louis van Gaal is a huge admirer of the Madrid winger with the 26-year-old being heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford despite huge interest from a majority of European sides.
The Red Devils are looking to table a bid of around £38 million to lure him to England, a significantly lower number than that of PSG.
