Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel has revealed the club are already preparing for battling relegation in the Premier League, as reported by Sky Sports.
The Foxes were promoted yesterday after their win on Friday night against Sheffield Wednesday coincided with both third place QPR and fourth place Derby losing on Saturday.
Nigel Pearson has led the team to the Premier League after play off heartache last season, with a club record unbeaten run intact and also a record points tally on the cards.
Schmeichel was in party mood last night, but the son of the Manchester United legend knows that the hard work continues with survival in the Premier League now the aim.
“Tonight we celebrate but everyone who knows the mentality of the team or the coaching staff knows as soon as tonight’s over we get back to work.
“We want to keep pushing on and we’ll be back working hard ahead of Tuesday’s game (at home to Brighton). The real hard work starts to stay in the Premier League.”
