The Spanish midfielder made the move to the Viola last summer from Villarreal and has impressed in his first campaign at Artemio Franchi, helping Fiorentina challenge for a Champions League spot.
The 28-year-old’s performances haven’t gone unnoticed, though, and recent reports have suggested Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham are all weighing up moves for Valero.
The playmaker endured a difficult two-year spell with West Brom after moving from Mallorca in 2008 and his agent says he is unlikely to return to England anytime soon.
“Borja is very happy to stay in Florence and in Fiorentina,” his agent Alejandro Camano told tuttomercatoweb.com. “I believe that at the time he is among the best players not only in Italy but also in Europe.
“Borja Valero has reached the right maturity to be part of any top club, but his goal is to get in the Champions League with the Fiorentina shirt.
“The future? Currently I cannot know the future. But I repeat that Borja Valero is very happy with Fiorentina and has no other thoughts.”
