Queens Park Rangers have had a £10million bid accepted for Liverpool striker Fabio Borini, according to ITV Sport.
The Italian striker spent last season on loan at Sunderland and has spent most of the summer making a decision over whether he wanted to make his Stadium of Light stay a permanent one.
But QPR appear to have gazumped Black Cats boss Gus Poyet to his signature, with the Uruguayan recently speaking of his frustration over the length of time it was taking Borini to make a decision.
Borini had been offered a contract by Sunderland but was always hopeful of staying at Anfield and fighting for his place in Brendan Rodgers’ side.
But this latest blow could force him to accept his Liverpool career is over and complete a move to London with Harry Redknapp’s newly-promoted QPR.
However, it is unclear whether Sunderland will improve their contract offer to Borini in an attempt to convince him to finally accept to a permanent switch.
