Media darling Harry Redknapp has claimed that he is focused on getting as many points as possible between now and January before even thinking about the transfer window.
QPR have been linked with names such as Darren Bent and Joe Cole amongst others, but Redknapp will not deter his focus from the upcoming games.
“Darren Bent’s a good player. They paid 20-odd million for him but I’m not even looking at January,” Redknapp told Sky Sports.
“I’ve always liked Joe. I signed him for West Ham at 11 years old so no-one knows more about him than me.
“I still think he’s got talent and there’s a top player there, but I’ve made no enquiry about Joe. I’ve had no contact with his agent or anyone.
“What happens between now and January will decide where we go.
“If we don’t get points in that period then why put the club in danger by signing five players and having a big wage bill next season?
“I haven’t discussed players with anyone – not the chairman or chief executive Philip Beard. We just need to win football matches.”
