Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp wants new loan signing Ravel Morrison to guide his team to promotion this season, as reported by the Daily Mirror.
Morrison will sign a 93 day loan deal on early next week that will enable him to stay at Loftus Road until after the play off final should Rangers make it.
The West London side have slipped to third in the Championship after an indifferent run of results and are now facing an uphill battle to make the top two.
Morrison was a key man for West Ham in the first few months of the season and impressed but the England under-21 international has slipped down the pecking order under Sam Allardyce.
The midfielder has a history off of field issues but Redknapp is looking to mould the star into his main man like he had with other players at former clubs.
“We need someone who can unlock the door,” Redknapp said.
“I’ve always had someone in my teams who can change a game.
“I had Di Canio and Merson at Portsmouth. I’ve had someone special who can turn a game for you. It is a gamble for us. He has got baggage or something else.
“If we didn’t have a problem somewhere he wouldn’t be here, he would still be playing at Manchester United. He has that talent.”
