Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has submitted a sizeable bid for highly rated Rennes midfielder Yann M’Vila according to French media source Le Parisien.

Redknapp has been keen on bringing the French international to the Premier League since his time at Tottenham and is hopeful that a deal can be struck very soon to sure up his underperforming Hoops midfield.

It is believed that Rangers have bid £8.5million for the midfielder, but Rennes are still hopeful of holding out for £10million for their want-away star.

M’Vila is a controversial figure in French football and has been known to let his personal life interrupt his football, so a move to England would be a fresh start for the 22-year-old.

Redknapp has already opened discussions with the player who would have a relegation release clause in his QPR contract, but a deal between the two clubs is still yet to be confirmed.
