Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Rob Green is hoping that the club have learned from their mistakes of big money signings in the Premier League, as reported by talkSPORT.

Rangers are back in the top flight after a stunning last minute goal from Bobby Zamora at Wembley broke Derby County hearts.

That is Zamora’s second play off final winner of his career – with QPR down to ten men and Derby dominating the game it did not look likely.

Green though is already thinking about the summer and wants the club to curb splashing the cash as they did last time they were in the Premier League.

“You would like to think people have learnt from previous mistakes. This game has probably helped a hundred million problems.

“It’s probably given some of the owners and chief executives a sleepful night as opposed to a sleepless one.

“It’s another summer of firefighting for the club and it’s another summer of tough decisions but hopefully we’re not going to make the same mistakes again.”

Green is now out of contract but is expected to sign a new deal at Loftus Road.
