Queens Park Rangers have signed Eduardo Vargas from Napoli on a season-long loan despite the player also being linked with a switch to Arsenal, Skysports reports.
The Chilean World Cup star, who bagged one goal in his four outings, impressed many with his displays in Brazil and was instantly a target for a host of European clubs.
He finally completes his move to QPR, with manager Harry Redknapp relishing the opportunity to see him in action.
“Eduardo is a quality player. He’s sharp, he’s bright, and he’s very lively on and off the ball.
“He can play as a number nine, he can play in behind, he can play wide, he’s very versatile.”
Vargas also expressed his delight after behind unveiled by the club.
“I’ve come here to do as much as I can and I’m very happy to play for QPR.
“It’s a very exciting league and a super-competitive league and a lot of players look forward to coming to play here in England. I’m looking forward to it.
“My biggest characteristic is one of speed. I’m always looking towards goal. My intention is to give 100 per cent and not let myself down and to work hard for the team.”
