Arsenal look to reignite their chase for Real Madrid ace Sami Khedira after he revealed that he would accepted reduced wages to join the club, Daily Star reports.
The German international refused to extend his contract with the La Liga giants due to lack of playing time last season as he could be facing further setbacks after the Spanish side completed the signing of midfielders Toni Kroos and James Rodriguez.
Arsene Wenger has previously made a move to sign the World Cup winning star, but was halted by his high wage demands, a factor Khedira is now likely to fix.
He was believed to want wages between the regions of £150,000-£160,000-a-week, but could now be open to only £135,000-a-week in order to make his switch to the English Premier League.
The 27-year-old defensive midfielder looks as though he has made this decision after news that the Gunners boss was looking for alternatives, with Morgan Schneiderlin and Lars Bender likely candidates.
