Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has reacted angrily to reporters who questioned his future at the Etihad Stadium.

Mancini’s future has been in doubt in recent weeks as the current Premier League champions have slipped 12 points behind rivals Manchester United in the title race.

A dire showing in the Champions League this season will not have helped his cause after finishing bottom of their group behind Ajax.

City’s only real hope of a trophy this season is the FA Cup but Manchester United and Chelsea are both still involved so Mancini’s men will have to fight hard in order to win any silverware this season.

A number of names have been mentioned in recent weeks who could be the Italians replacement at the Etihad Stadium with Jose Mourinho and Jurgen Klopp the front runners.

However when Mancini was asked about Malaga boss Maunel Pellegrini’s link to the City job in the summer, he flipped.

"F****** hell! I can't continue to answer questions about this every week,” Mancini told the Daily Mirror reporter.

"We have another two months [of the season]. You know things can happen in that time.”
