Brendan Rodgers has hinted he is interested in bringing Mario Balotelli to Liverpool this summer, reports the Express.
The Reds are in the market for a new striker, having sold Luis Suarez to Barcelona for £75million, and seen their move for Loic Remy collapse at the 11th hour.
And now it seems Rodgers could turn his attentions to former Manchester City man Balotelli, who is said to be unhappy with life at AC Milan.
He said: “Balotelli has all the qualities [I like].
“He’s 6’3”, he’s quick, his touch is terrific, he can score goals and he’s still so young.
“I saw that in this time at Inter as a young player and obviously going to Manchester City when we had a real close eye on him there. He’s a big talent.”
Meanwhile, the Reds are still in the market for Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus.
The German is still yet to sign a new contract with the Bundesliga giants, and Bayern Munich have distanced themselves having been previously linked.
Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said when discussing a potential move for Reus: “I like to give myself a year in advance to make transfer decisions.
“But this cannot be done in football any more.”
