Cristiano Ronaldo, former Manchester United midfielder

Cristiano Ronaldo has hit back at claims that he has claimed he is unhappy to earn a new lucrative contract at Real Madrid.

The Portugal international scored twice for Jose Mourinho's men against Granada but did not celebrate, stating after the game that he was unhappy and the club knew why.

However, CR7 has confirmed that his sadness has nothing to do with money.

"I am accused of wanting more money, but one day it will be shown that this is not the case," he declared on his Facebook page, translated to English by The Daily Mail.

"At this point, I just want to guarantee to the Real Madrid fans that my motivation, dedication, commitment and desire to win all competitions will not be affected.

"I have too much respect for myself and for Real Madrid to ever give less to the club than all I am capable of," he concluded

Manchester United and Manchester City have both been speculated with a move for the phenomenal forward since the news of his unhappiness has emerged.
