Southampton midfielder Adam Lallana looks to have turned down any move to Manchester United by declaring his interest in a summer transfer to Liverpool, according to Daily Mail.
Earlier reports have said that United were currently preparing to offer Southampton £55m for both Luke Shaw and Lallana, but with his recent confession on a move to the Reds, a deal involving Lallana could break down.
However, Shaw is still looking a strong contender to sign for the Red Devils despite a majority of clubs also eyeing the young England left back.
The Saints are trying all they can to keep hold of their star players, but with this news, Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers could make an opening bid of £15m with the opportunity to double his current salary of £35,000 a week in order to lure him to Anfield.
Lallana, 25, has only featured three times for the England senior team but is expected to be a certain pick for Roy Hodgson’s World Cup squad after a fine performance and a place in this season’s PFA Team of the Year.
